Who has the longest streak on an NHL power play unit?
Home / Answers / Longest streaks
2026-27 · measured from NHL shift charts and play-by-play
Taylor Hall of Carolina has the longest measured streak, 7 straight games with a power play on Carolina's second power-play unit.
A streak counts games in which the club actually drew a penalty. A penalty-free night is not evidence about a power-play unit in either direction, so it neither breaks nor extends a run — and a game a skater did not dress for is disclosed rather than bridged.
How this is measured
A streak is consecutive games-with-a-power-play on the same unit. Games in which the club drew no penalty are skipped in both directions; games a skater did not dress for are skipped and counted in the missed column. Streaks of five or more are listed, top 100.
